The Office of the Joint Director of Higher Education, Amravati Division is a regional administrative branch under the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. Located in Amravati city, this office oversees and coordinates the implementation of higher education policies and programs across the Amravati The primary role of the Joint Director’s office is to supervise government and aided
colleges offering courses in arts, science, commerce, education (B.Ed), and other higher education streams, ensuring they comply with state regulations and quality standards. The current Joint Director is **Dr. Abhay Khamborkar**, who heads a team comprising administrative officers, finance officers, clerical staff, and support personnel.
